At Christ Episcopal Church in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, we value all children and consider them the most precious gift for the next generation of Christians. Because we are a bilingual community of diverse families from different countries and cultures, we offer Christian Education and Formation in English and Spanish. In our Sunday School for All Ages, we believe strongly that even our youngest members in our Nursery have Christian formation as well as our children Pre-school through Sixth grade, Jr. & Sr. High Youth, and Adults.

Our Christian Education for School-Age Children provides time and resources for each child to learn the Sacred Scriptures in worship and prayer in a way they can understand. In our Children’s Chapel, we use a Lectionary-based educational curriculum that focuses in the same cycle of readings used in our Sunday Services in the respective English or Spanish language.  The children begin in the Sanctuary with their parents and our Priest will bless them as they are led to the Chapel during the first 30 minutes of our Sunday Service. They rejoin their parents in the Sanctuary prior to Holy Communion so to reinforce the sense of belonging to the wider Church family.  At the time of Holy Eucharist, all Baptized children may receive Holy Communion to fully participate in the Holy Mass.

We offer classes for the Sacraments of the Church (Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation) to further educate and prepare our families and registration is ongoing. Class enrollment for First Informed Holy Communion and Confirmation is open to all Baptized children ages seven and older.  Classes begin in September in hopes that children may receive their First Informed Communion in the springtime and Confirmation is typically celebrated in the winter.  Children along with their families, specifically their parents and godparents / sponsors participate in retreats during Advent and Lent.

Please note that our Nursery is suspended during COVID until further notice.
